Combine the comfort features from our standard cannulas with the exceptional sensitivity required for today's pneumatic conservers. We incorporate our smooth bore tubing to enhance the sensitivity of the inhalation effort. One nasal prong senses inhalation while the other delivers oxygen. We recommend using the 4' cannula to maximize the patient's sensitivity.
Why a Duel Lumen Cannula?
The major advantage of a duel lumen cannula over a single lumen is the sensitivity it provides the patient. Conservers using standard cannulas must deliver and sense inhalation through the same tubing. Sensing problems occur with standard cannulas that use curved and small nasal prongs especially with shallow breathing or nasal congested patients. These minor oddities increase the likelihood of the conserver not working properly resulting in a service call to investigate the problem. Any assumed cost savings over a dual lumen cannula are more than negated.
Dual Lumen Cannulas for the Respond Oxygen Pneumatic Conservers:
Two styles of dual lumen cannulas are availabble. Advantages and disadvantages are dependent on individual patient needs.
